High Visibility apparel, in short Hi-vis, /hīˈviz/ is clothing made of a fluorescent or reflective material intended to ensure that the garment's wearer can be easily seen by other people. We want you to be seen out there, so we are continuing to give away our pedestrian safety pack. It's a two-fer; a fluorescent lime toque with a reflective band, and a fluorescent arm band with LED lights. Hi-Vis Day (Nov 4) aims to remind people of the importance of wearing hi-vis material when out walking or cycling, especially on the darkest days of the year and during the winter months. We chose Nov 4 because pedestrian accidents peak at the end of November and approximately two-thirds of fatal pedestrian collisions happen in hours of darkness.
